Islamic Awareness and Education Coordinator
One of Aglow's foundational mandates is to answer God’s call to minister to the Muslim people, while bringing awareness of the basic theological differences between Islam and Christianity.
In 1991, Aglow began focusing on ministering to Muslims, who make up one-fifth of the world's population, recognizing that without Christ, they have no hope, no forgiveness of sin and no real assurance of salvation and eternal life. Aglow works to unveil the belief structure of Islam, bringing awareness to Christians, while loving the Muslim people by reaching out to them with the Gospel.
Islam is a complex system that is meant to encompass the entire society: it is a social, economic, political, educational, judicial and militaristic system cloaked as a religion. The Aglow ministry has been called by God to “expose the system of Islam” as well as pray for and minister to the people bound by the system. This foundational course will give you a basic historical and contemporary understanding of this complex world-wide system as well as reveal God’s heart to reach these descendants of Abraham.
Many people say that Muslims, Jews, and Christians all believe in the same God and Islam is just another way to heaven. Christianity and Islam are very different. It is important for Christians to understand these differences. God has commissioned Aglow to study, be aware of the differences, and to be able to discuss them in a well-informed manner. This is known as ISLAM AWARENESS.
A regional Islamic Coordinator for Aglow International gives workshops on the history and teachings of the Islamic faith and on the Islamic religious system and its intent to oppress women.
God is in control. Eph 6:12 teaches us that we do not struggle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces. We are to love our neighbour, pray for them, and share the truth of the Gospel with anyone who asks.
